The National Gallery
This is an extravaganza of sorts with a whopping 2300 paintings from the previous centuries to the present one. The gallery is a non departmental public body and all the work goes into charity. It is located on Trafalgar Square in the capital city. Some of the masterpieces include those created by world famous artists like Michelangelo, Cezzane, Hogarth, Rembrandt, Raphel and Titian. The entry to this place is absolutely free. It opens daily from 10 am till 6 pm in the evening and on Friday from 10 in the morning till 9 in the night.
